These meta tags are very strong and has that ability to prevent page from been indexed by the search engine.
Previewing the Meta Tag
Meta tags are information place inside the "head" area of once web pages. Information in this area is used to communicate information that a guest visitor may not be concerned with. Meta Tags do tell a browser what "character set" to use. For example,
<HEAD> <TITLE>Site name</TITLE> <META name="DESCRIPTION" content="description" /> <META name="KEYWORDS" content="keywords" /> </HEAD>
As you can from the above example, the beginning of the page's "head" area as noted by the tag it ends at the portion shown as. Meta Tags are put in between the "opening" and "closing" HEAD tags.
The Title Tag
These meta are use to name your page and it show that name on the browser as a title of your page. And with these people visiting your web site will easily know the name to your web site and this is what search use too, just to get the information in your web pages.
Meta Rebots Tag
This is another tag that can be use in a web page, rebots didn't allow crawler to index your information in the web pages, yes its block indexing and it is more efficient. Just add the below HTML to the one above:
<META name="REBOTS" content="noindex" />
That is
<HEAD> <TITLE>Site name</TITLE> <META name="DESCRIPTION" content="description" /> <META name="KEYWORDS" content="keywords" /> <META name="REBOTS" content="noindex" /> </HEAD>
